Hooley Bridge 2nds went down to a disappointing home defeat to title rivals Cheadle Hulme at Heywood Leisure Centre.
In horrendous conditions at the Leisure Centre, it was the visitors who were able to cope better and they came back from a goal down to triumph 3-1.
Bridge missed a penalty and in the second half were barely able to trouble the visiting keeper as the howling gale blew across the exposed pitch.
