The preparations for NatWest CricketForce 2013 continued last week with more hard work from the two Keith’s and various other supporters. Janine Ferguson was down to replant all the hanging baskets at the front of the club in readiness for summer, and Nathan Goodall has repaired the window in the umpires room ahead of the Click here for more ….

NatWest CricketForce 2013 is up and running already with lots of activity down at Crimble. Whilst the actual event itself is being held on Easter Sunday, March 31st, preparations are well underway as the club stages a smaller scale repeat of last year’s incredible event. Keith Caveney was awarded life membership of Heywood CC at last night’s AGM at Crimble. Keith has been a member at the club for more than 40 years, and his contribution has been immense. There’s a big night of cricket for the under-18s at Crimble on Wednesday. Heywood take on Royton in the semi-finals of the Taylor Cup. Heywood were victorious when the two sides met earlier in the season, but everyone present knew Royton were a decent team and can cause problems. The only players I know who Click here for more ….
Apparently all games are off in the CLL today, according to @CLLbadger on Twitter. I presume this includes second team games as well and it will be interesting to see if this round of fixtures will be rescheduled. Any more info I will keep you informed. The seven Heywood players and members who went to Friday’s Central Lancashire League dinner came away laden with awards and prizes.
