Work has finished on one of the biggest improvements to Heywood Cricket Club in more than 30 years. The clubhouse at Crimble has undergone a massive revamp, with old, rotting windows and fronting replaced by energy-efficient PVC windows. New doors have been installed to improve disabled access and security has been improved dramatically with the Click here for more ….
Work should be completed in time for Saturday’s presentation night on the front of the clubhouse. Workmen from Kaberry Construction Ltd have done a fine job in replacing the windows and frontage, and as of today (Tuesday) 99 per cent of the internal work has been completed. Due to a problem on another contract, Kaberry Construction Limited could not commence on Monday last as planned; however, they have assured me they will complete within the agreed timescale. Heywood Cricket Club members are reminded that work starts on refurbishment of the front of the clubhouse next week (Monday 12 September). Contrary to some rumours circulating, the club will still be open as usual for members, although there may be times when there is some inconvenience.
