Former Heywood pro Rajat Bhatia was in the runs this week for Delhi in the Ranji Trophy.
He cracked a superb, unbeaten 163 from number six as Delhi drew their clash with Bengal in the Elite Group B clash.
Rajat enjoyed an excellent season for Heywood in 2009, coming close to doing the double and we had hoped he would return to Heywood the following year. However, work permit problems and his growing reputation in the IPL scuppered that.
Another former Heywood pro has also been on top form for his South Africa side.
Johan Louw, pro in 2001 and who scored over a thousand runs and took 75 wickets, took 5-37 as his Cape Cobras side bowled out for just 86 in the first innings of their current clash.
(Thanks to Marcus Caveney for spotting Rajat for me)
