SOHAIL Asildada will make his Heywood senior bow at home to Unsworth on Saturday.
The pace bowler, who played his previous cricket with Gore Court of Sittingbourne in Kent, impressed on his debut for the Club in a recent second team game.
Now he steps up a level into a first team lacking the services of captain Sean Burrill, plus James Kettleborough and Mikey Grogan, banned by the Club following on-field incidents at the end of last weekend’s game at Swinton Moorside.
Jacob Kaye and Dominic Fawcett also step into the breach in a side led by Bobby Cross, who has plenty of experience in the role after captaining the side through one of the most successful eras in the Club’s history for a 10-year period ending in 2013.
The second team goes to Unsworth for the reverse fixture
