The senior side continued where they left off in the shortened league season with a successful run chase at Crimble on Saturday.
Having lost the toss the home side were again in the field and Tottington made steady progress with both openers showing patience as well as punishing anything over pitched.
Hilton and Zaman both bowled steady opening spells without a wicket and it was the introduction of professional Amar Ullah that brought some success trapping Meehan leg before.
Smalley continued in positive fashion but the run rate never got away from Heywood and Ullah, Olivia Thomas, Chris Kaye and Andy Dawson all got through valuable overs as players get used to playing again after such a long break.
Wickets eventually tumbled towards the end of the innings as Tottington looked to push on with run out effected by both Dawson and Bobby Cross and Zaman returning for a couple of late dismissals leaving the visitors on 151-5 at the end of the alloted 40 overs.
In reply Mikey Witts and Wes Hunt made a steady start taking the score to 48 before Hunt was well caught at mid-off looking to up the rate.
Jacob Kaye got a good ball which brough Ullah to the crease and he continued his excellent form whilst Witts continued to score at the other end ultimately falling for a well made 34.
This brought Cross to the crease and with Ullah the pair scored steadily and with around 5 an over required Ullah cut loose with a couple of sixes, one over the fence into the park before falling just short of the victory target.
Andy Dawson and Cross saw Heywood home with nearly 4 overs remaining, Cross finishing proceedings with a straight six.
Heywood now meet Bury at weekend and will be looking to inflict a first defeat on their hosts.
