REALISATION that the new cricket season is not too far away comes with news of the annual indoor nets practise at Siddal Moor.
They get under way on Sunday, February 10, and continue until Sunday, March 31, with the juniors starting proceedings.
The Under 13s and Under-15s will have centre stage on February 10 from noon-2pm, then the Under 9s and Under-11s have their turn the following week, February 17.
They continue to alternate until March 10 when the Senior section – which this year incorporates the Under-18s for the first time – get under way.
They will have their practise from 11am-12.30pm, and will be followed by the Under-13s and Under-15s until 2pm.
This will continue throughout March, with the Under-9s and Under-11s again alternating with the Under-13s and Under-15s.
