Heywood CC is still looking to hear from any former players who want to attend the club’s Former Players Day later this season.
On Saturday 11 August, the first team are at home to Ashton, and to coincide with this Bob Dearden and Mike Law – with help from others – have organised a reunion for anyone who has played under the Heywood CC banner.
I know there are many older players who have already been contacted by Bob and Mike, but there are many, many others who we have not got in touch with yet.
There will be food put on for all those attending, and it will be a great time to reminisce about the great times you enjoyed at Crimble.
Bob says: “It’s a great chance to come and meet former team-mates, talk about the old days and the games you played.
“You can boast about the runs you scored, the wickets you took and the catches you made.
“And if you haven’t been down for a while you will be pleasantly surprised by how great the ground looks.”
To find out more, or if you know where we can find some of our more elusive former players, get in touch with Bob on 07816039168.
