JACK Morley has made his mark for England on the current Under-19s tour of Bangladesh.
The Heywood Cricket Club protégée made his debut in the recent third one-day international, which the home side won by 63 runs to complete a whitewash in the three-match series.
The home side made 266-9 from their 50 overs, the 17-year-old Morley being one of the few successes in the bowling attack by taking two wickets from his 10-over spell.
England then fell well short in their reply with 203, Morley going in late on to remain undefeated after contributing a single.
That earned the Heywood lad a Test debut in the first four-day Test at Chittagong, and he shared in a last wicket partnership of 15 – despite failing to score from four balls – as the tourists reached 280.
Midway through the second day Sri Lanka were 133-2, Morley running out opener Amite Hassan for 49.
The match ends on Sunday and final details will be reported on this site when available.
