Heywood Chairman, John Rhodes, has provided the following message for members and supporters:
Well 2020 has been a funny old year and as I write this we can only hope that 2021 will be nearer normal.
The club has survived in what can only be called the strangest of circumstances. We have been closed for long periods and only open for a few short months. Cricket has been played but not in the way we have become accustomed. Throughout all this you, our members, have remained loyal and for that I give you my heartfelt thanks.
A light has appeared at the end of the tunnel, albeit at the moment it is not very bright, but it is there. Let us all work towards that light until cricket, once again, can come back to Crimble and we enjoy this wonderful sport on our beautiful ground.
Have a safe and peaceful Christmas everyone, I know we will have a great New Year.
