Whilst we understand that people are keen to get back down and watch some cricket in the sunshine we must also be very aware of the rules and regulations put in place by Government, ECB, GMP and Rochdale Council.

We appreciate that some of these rules and the guidance seems to change and adapt but we also have a duty to ensure the club is a safe environment and that we continue to be a venue that can safely welcome you down.

Until 17th May the current guidance is that spectators are NOT allowed at cricket matches.

The only exemption from this is for a parent, suitable adult or carer who can attend to supervise an U18 player or a player with a disability.

The only way in which club members can be at the club on a match day whilst cricket is played is as a “Patron” enjoying hospitality at the cricket club. This means you must be a club member and you must be seated at a table within the area identified by the club as part of our risk assessment. At Heywood this effectively means the outdoor patio area that has been fenced off and designated for hospitality.

Within that area table service can be provided.

Aside from this unfortunately at present we cannot allow any other spectators on the ground and the club officials present will be placed in the difficult position of having to ask any such person to leave. We would be very grateful if you do not put our well meaning staff and volunteers in that position, we are all trying our very best.

Track and trace sign in will be required and the NoQ app is available and we encourage those enjoying hospitality to make use of it to assist the staff.

We appreciate this is a very unusual time and we are only following the guidance laid out for us, we all want the club to return to normality, safely, as soon as possible and we appreciate your cooperation and understanding throughout this time.
