Along with our own normal, world-class beer, we have the following John Willie Lees beers at the club from Sunday.

These are John Willie Lees’ own descriptions.

Game On 4.2%

Whether your game is football, rugby, cricket, tennis, golf or any other sport for that matter, this cask ale is perfect for any sporting event. The winter league Game On (available Jan-Mar  and Oct-Dec) has a more robust feel and is auburn in colour, while the summer league version (availbale Apr-Sep) is lighter with a pale, golden colour.

Diamond Jubilee 4.2%

Following on from the success of JW Lees Middleton’s ale, to celebrate Will and Kate’s big day, we’re proud to introduce JW Lees Diamond Jubilee. This is in honour of Her Royal Highness Queen Elizabeth II celebrating 60 years on the throne. So raise a glass to the Queen on the 5th June 2012, when we celebrate an extra bank holiday for this special occasion.

British Jewels 4.1%

Raise a glass and cheer on Team GB with a pint of British Jewels. Brewed with a blend of Liberty and Mount Hood hops, for a fruity, hoppy flavour with malty characteristics and a golden colour. This name comes from an anagram of JW Lees.

John Willie’s Premium 4.5%

Named after Mr. JW Lees himself, this lightly coloured, robust beer drinks smoothly and has a nutty finish. Made from pale ale malt, Northdown hops and Golding hops, it is a well balanced and full bodied beer. First brewed in 1999 in bottles and 2008 in cask.

  1. Enjoy! I’ll let you know how the Bud Lite’s taste over here.

  2. Wasted on me as Dave F, Roger and Rick continually tell me on pit stops (I only drink lager) – not that you can get anything other than lager where I am anyway.
Was back for a week last week and enjoyed a pit stop with the two’s on the way back from the Pollards – caught Messrs Smethurst and Purser having a sneeky lager only to be told it was their warm weather option! Hmmmmm!
