HEYWOOD Cricket Club has seen its re-arranged Greater Manchester League commitments for the 2020 season curtailed.
But there will be an end-of-season extra for players and spectators this coming Sunday (July 27) with a 3rd X1 game against Derbyshire side Newton (12 30pm).
The 1st X1 were due to host Bury on Saturday and the 3rd X1 had a final mini-league feature at Bolton area side Heaton on Sunday (July 27).
Both games have, however, been cancelled because of Covid-19 problems and restrictions.
But Newton have agreed to step into the breach on Sunday as a finale to the campaign, with both clubs promising to put out like-for-like age group teams.
