HEYWOOD are looking forward optimistically to the 2021 cricket season – despite the current difficult times.
The new Greater Manchester Cricket League campaign is scheduled to start on Saturday, April 17, when the senior side set off in Premier 2 with a trip to Glossop.
The second team are in Division 3E and their opening day sees a Crimble meeting with Mottram 2nd Xl.
Now friendly matches in the build-up have been arranged against neighbours Norden, which will provide players and supporters with something to focus on.
The proposed action begins on Saturday, April 10, when the senior side go to Stag Park and the second team fixture is on the same day at Crimble.
And there is further proposed game the following day, Sunday, April 11, when Crimble is again the venue for a meeting between the Heywood and Norden third teams.
