Another Heywood youngster has earned a shot at representative honours.
Ethan Harding was selected to take part in the Lancashire under-12s trials programme at the back end of January and has been informed that he has been selected as one of the final 20 youngsters making up the winter squad.
The squad will train at the indoor centre at Emirates Old Trafford on a fortnightly basis on Sundays from 16 Feb through to April.
Ethan has progressed through the Heywood junior programme after joining the club back in 2011 under the guidance of Lee Grogan and Rob Morley at U11s age group.
He was then selected in the 2013 season to captain the U11s team and was also selected to represent Rochdale at district level and also played regularly for John Heywood’s U13s team.
2014 will see Ethan make the move to U13s at club level and he has been invited to Rochdale district trials for the U13s squad starting in March.
This will all stand Ethan in good stead ahead of being invited to trial in April and May for the U12s development and main county teams for Lancs.
Well done Ethan and good luck in 2014.
